PROCESS AUTOMATION CONFERENCE 2023

International Society of Automation, Pune Section (ISA Pune) celebrated International Automation Professionals Day, in a grand manner by organizing a Process Automation Conference and Exhibition themed “Driving Manufacturing Excellence Through Process Automation” at a 5-star hotel and convention center. It was well attended with over 150 delegates from Industrial Automation users, Manufacturing Cos, System Integrators, and OEMs. 

ISA which was founded on 28th April 1945, celebrates International Automation Professionals Day to celebrate our founders’ legacies, and their contributions to the industry and thanks automation users, vendors, consultants, volunteers, staff, and the entire automation community who help Create a Better World Through Automation.

The highlight of the show was an address by the Chief Guest Dr. Sudhir Agashe, who has recently assumed the position of Vice Chancellor, at COEP Technological University. In his address, he urged ISA Pune to connect with COEP in an industry-academia collaboration, as the engineering colleges produce engineers, who are the product, through which automation systems are designed, manufactured, and run. He also briefed the audience on COEP’s upcoming new facilities, where industry collaboration is a must, and ISA can play a major role here.

The Chief Guest Dr. Agashe and ISA Board members led by Mr. Gurmeet S. Anand – President of ISA Pune Section, released ISA’s special souvenir on the occasion.  

Papers were presented at the conference by well-known speakers, and experts in their field, with different perspectives from end-users, automation equipment manufacturers, EPC contractors, etc., and were well received by the delegates. Presentations were also made by Endress+Hauser, DelVal Flow Controls, San Telequip, and RedLion Controls who talked in various aspects of Measurement, Control, Connectivity, etc., and showcased their latest technologies at the Conference. 

The evening session included an Honours and Awards function, where ISA Pune awarded its achiever members, including the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award awarded to Uday Banerjee of Vareli Tecnac Pvt. Ltd., and the Product Innovation Award to Mr. Rajendra Nagaonkar of Electronet Equipments. 

ISA Pune also has ISA Student Sections from 9 engineering colleges affiliated with it. From these, Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pimpri was awarded as the Best Student Section, and Dr. Swati Madhe of Cummins College of Engineering for Women was felicitated for her exceptional efforts in growing the Student Sections.
